Classic Cocktails and Vintage Mixed Drinks: How to make the Deauville Cocktail

The Deauville cocktail drink was created in New Orleans around1930. The is a great brandy sour drink that you gotta try today. The brandy and Applejack are a nice combination. This is a vintage cocktail thats going on almost 90 years now.

Deauville Cocktail Recipe:
Ingredients:
• 3/4 oz brandy (Raynal, Remy Martin, E & J, Christian Brothers, etc.)
• 3/4 oz applejack or calvados (Daron, Busnel, Boulard, etc.)
• 3/4 oz triple sec
• 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice

Preparation:
Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice.
Shake until cold and frosty.
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Classic Cocktails: How to make a great Apple Martini with complete recipe.

There are green apple martini recipes, but this is for the red version of the drink.
Sweet, tart and tangy are the general taste of the drink.



Apple Martini Recipe:
Ingredients
• 1 part Apple Brandy (Germain-Robin, Laird's, Clear Creek, Etc.)
• 1 part White Rum (Bacardi, Appleton, Brugal, Etc.)
• 1 part Sweet & Sour Mix
• 1/4 part Grenadine
• OPTIONAL Garnish with a red apple slice.

Directions:
Mix all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice.
Shake the mix until cold and frosty.

Classic coktail Drink Recipe: The Singapore Sling Cocktail drink.

How to make the famous Singapore Sling cocktail drink with complete recipe:

This drink is still very popular in the tiki bars across the world.
The Singapore Sling was invented by Ngiam Tong Boon at the famous Raffles Hotel in Singapore in the early 1900's.  This drink was also popular during the prohibition era.  This is a classic cocktail with a complex flavor.

Singapore Sling Cocktail Drink


Singapore Sling ingredients:
• 1 1/2 oz gin (Beefeater, Tanqueray, Bombay Sapphire, Hendrick's, Eyc.)
• 1 oz Fresh lemon juice
• 1/4 oz sugar syrup or simple bar syrup
• 1 1/2 tsp powdered sugar
• 2 oz club soda
• 1/2 oz cherry brandy
lemon slice or pineapple for garnish
maraschino cherry for garnish

Directions:
Pour the gin, lemon juice, sugar syrup and powdered sugar into a cocktail shaker with ice.
Shake well until cold and frosty.
Strain into a highball glass with ice.
Pour in some of the club soda.
Float the cherry brandy by pouring over the back of a spoon.
Garnish with the lemon slice and a cherry.

The stinger is a mix of brandy and white creme de menthe liqueur. The Stinger makes a great dessert cocktail that goes great with chocolate desserts.

Stinger Recipe:
Ingredients:
• 1 3/4 oz brandy (Hennessy, Remy Martin, Courvoisier, Asbach Uralt, etc.)
• 3/4 oz white creme de menthe (DeKuyper, Bols, Potter's, Leroux, Hiram Walker, etc.)

Procedure:
Pour all of the ingredients into an old-fashioned or similar glass with crushed ice.
Stir well then serve.

Classic Cocktail Drinks: The "Tom and Jerry" Cocktail Recipe and History

Classic Cocktails: How to make the famous "Tom and Jerry" mixed drink cocktail with recipe and instructions.


The Tom and Jerry is a favorite winter time drink for many cocktail lovers, but of course can be enjoyed all year long. This drink was inspired by eggnog. This classic cocktail drink is frothy, warm and sweet. This drink is based on dark rum and brandy, mainly cognac along with warm milk. It is a traditional Christmas cocktail in the United States.

The Tom and Jerry cocktail has no relation to the cartoon. The drink was invented in the 1820's by writer Pierce Egan to promote his book Life in London, or The Day and Night Scenes of Jerry Hawthorn Esq. and his Elegant Friend Corinthian Tom and play titled Tom and Jerry.



Tom and Jerry Ingredients:
• 1 egg (can use egg substitute)
• 1/2 oz simple syrup
• 1 oz dark rum ( Bacardi, Captain Morgan, Cruzan, Mount Gay, Myers Dark Rum, Whalers, etc.)
• 1 oz Cognac or brandy (Ravenscroft Crystal Cognac, Remy Martin Cognac, Hennessy, Hardy Perfection, etc.)
• hot milk or hot water
• grated nutmeg for garnish

Tom and Jerry Procedure:
Divide the egg whites from the yoke and beat them separately.
Mix the eggs together and then place them into a Irish coffee glass.
Then mix in the simple syrup, dark rum and the brandy.
Fill with hot milk or even hot water.
Stir to mix.
